The details and the way you felt on your wedding day, memories with and of loved ones that years from now you will yearn to see just one more time — to the days of long nights, scattered toys, and patter of feet down the hallway. Some of my most cherished works are the unposed in-betweens and uncurated moments that are honest, real, and true to you. The ones that make you pause and feel — and will pull you back into the feeling and memory of the day - or this season of life - for years to come!

Hi, I'm Katelyn!
I believe the best photos happen when people forget the camera is even there. I'm drawn to real laughter, quiet in-between moments, and light that feels honest rather than staged. My approach is more observer than director, I'll guide when it's helpful, but mostly I just wait for the moment to happen on its own.
Whether we're working with golden hour sun or an overcast afternoon, my goal is always the same: images that feel like you, not like a performance for the camera.

Photos For The Archives
One of my most cherished photos from my personal archives in high school circa 2012, a few years after I got my first DSLR. My grandpa (who was a hobbyist photographer) has been gone for 9 years now and this photo, while imperfectly composed, immediately pulls me right back in & I can still hear his laugh and recall how much joy I felt in this moment. It's moments like these that inspires and compels me when creating with you to set up opportunities for real memories and your true emotions, mannerisms, and selves to shine - think action prompts and quiet in-between moments over stiff posing. I love a good perfectly composed highlight reel shot as much as the next person - and I adore a mix of both candid and curated in my galleries to frame your story and make it feel uniquely you - but there's something about candids with life and memories unfolding in front of me that has always enamored me and sometimes there isn't always time to perfectly set the scene. I firmly believe the real you is always 10000% better than a "perfect pose" that looks beautiful but doesn't feel like you. Real life is not always perfectly curated nor do I ever want to pretend it is —Though I will also gladly be removing people from the background and distracting elements from key shots where they may not add much value to the story!
This photo may forever be a favorite and at the end of the day I hope my photos can pull you back in to relive your day, your favorite people and the love surrounding you, or this season of life for years to come. Not only as it happened, but also how it felt — just as this photo does for me all these years later!
