Photos FOR THE ARCHIVES - BECAUSE THESE REALLY ARE THE GOOD OL' DAYS
I’m Katelyn and I'm glad you're here!
The Lord has given me a beautiful gift & I don't take the calling to share it lightly. I’m drawn to meaningful connections and love hearing people’s stories, which is why I love being a photographer so much. Photography to me is less about posing people and more to do with paying attention. Some of my most cherished works come from the moments no one's performing for, a glance, a laugh, the quiet in between everything else that's happening. These often, beautifully imperfect, moments that life is so rich and full of.
My style leans natural and unscripted. I'll offer guidance when it's useful, but mostly I'm just watching, waiting for the real thing to happen, and making sure I'm ready when it does.
At the end of the day, I just want your photos to feel uniquely you and like a quiet, well-loved story you'll still be pulling off the shelf for years to come.

"I wept when I saw the gallery. The photos were so beautiful!"
My road to photography has been messy and sometimes disappointing, but also life changing, and filled with so much love and passion. I’ve truly been obsessing over photography since I was 10. I made my friends model for me countless times often on adventures and chasing light through trees. After high school, I put down and picked back up my camera more times than I could count, but it never stuck. I either wanted to keep it as a hobby but also I wanted so badly to be a good photographer, but imposter syndrome got me and I was really critical of myself and my work to the point that I permanently (or so I thought) put it down for several years to come. But photography always nagged at me and one day I decided that I was sick of letting fear stop me from doing what I knew God was calling me to. I picked up my camera again and haven't looked back.
At the heart of each of my experiences and accomplishments is a passion for storytelling, for capturing the beauty in the ordinary, and for preserving the moments that mean the most.
Photography has taught me to see the world with deeper appreciation and to find emotion in the details. With every project I take on, I carry a sense of wonder, always striving to create something that feels authentic and timeless. I often think the richest blessings are found in the (extra)ordinary moments in life full of chaos, the seemingly mundane, and the often over-looked moments and interactions. I am forever grateful for those who have trusted me to bring their stories to life, as well as the people and stories yet to come. YOU are my why.
Never in my wildest thoughts did I think I would actually be a photographer.

it;s your turn to overshare!
Picking the right photographer is one of the hardest decisions when it comes to wedding planning - be picky. They will be the vendor that you spend the most time with, depend on in the most crucial moments, and trust with your most vulnerable moments. They should care about getting it right!
I plan, prep, research, communicate, and do anything I need to do to serve you, my clients!
